This saves our students time and money, as one family can take multiple instruments on the same day. We offer private, one-on-one music lessons for the instrument of your choice. Other studios offer multiple instruments, but we offer the largest selection of music lessons in Rochester, New York, including:

Our two locations are convenient to all areas of Rochester. Our main music school location is centrally located off of 490 in the Rochester/Brighton area. (See map below.) Our West side location is on Buffalo Rd near the corner of Howard. Both locations are conveniently located near shopping, parks, dining, and more.

Our staff of experienced, professional music teachers all have either University training or professional performance experience. They have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. With over 24 years of teaching experience, staff director Brannon Hungness supervises every teacher at his music school. Many music studio desks are staffed by the teacher/owner or more commonly an answering machine. We make sure that you get the help you need by having office managers who are available at the front desk to assist our clients.

If you arrive too early for your music lesson or want to wait for your children, don't sweat it! Our clients enjoy a spacious waiting room complete with comfortable chairs, free Wi-Fi, magazines, playing cards, and a water cooler. Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for music lessons, including amps, stereos, full drum kit, realistic weighted-key electric pianos, and more.
8. Free, All-Inclusive Music Recitals.
Every January and June, our students have the option of performing in our recitals. Participation is not required, but every student has the option to perform! Rochester Academy of Music and Arts recitals are 100% free for students, parents, families, and friends. Recitals are fun and low-pressure, and students of all ages perform. Our piano students even get to perform on a grand piano! Show the world what you have learned in your music lessons!
9. Month to Month Lessons.
The Rochester Academy Of Music And Arts does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student is here on a month to month basis. If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.
10. The Widest Range of Lesson Times Available in the Rochester Area.
We offer flexible scheduling for our music lessons between the hours of:
2:00pm and 9:00pm Monday through Thursday,
2:00pm to 6:00pm on Fridays,
11:00am to 4:00pm on Saturdays.
Additional times may be available by request.
