WHAT DO YOU LEARN IN YOUR VIOLIN LESSONS?

This question is often asked by prospective students. Our violin teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level, becoming familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.

We do not treat every violin student the same in terms of how we teach.

A seven year old playing violin for the first time will have very different needs than a fifty-seven year old taking up guitar lessons for the second time after having taken lessons as a child.

The main reason to choose the Academy as your music lesson provider is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual. If you enroll here for violin lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. At the first lesson, your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or for your child.

WHAT STYLES OF MUSIC DO YOU TEACH IN YOUR VIOLIN LESSONS?

Our violin teachers are skilled in all styles from rock, pop, jazz, country, blues, and classical.

VIOLIN LESSONS
(ages 4 and up)

Our violin instructors will teach all styles of music, from learning to play by ear to reading music. If you want to play classical music or the fiddle, we have a teacher for you. Students can be as young as 5 years old, or younger with the teacher's approval. Our students love learning the fundamentals, as well as incorporating your favorite songs into their lessons. Our violin teachers have friendly personalities and love working with children and teens and adults!

Your child will change instruments as they grow. Our teachers will help you choose the right size violin for you!

ARE YOUR VIOLIN INSTRUCTORS QUALIFIED?

Our violin teachers have received their educations from prestigious institutions such as the Eastman School of Music, Berklee College of Music, Oxford University, Oberlin College, and more. Plus, they have professional performing experience. Many of our instructors have gone on singing tours of the US and Europe and have over 20 years of performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, and are extremely friendly!

We offer flexible scheduling for our voice lessons between the hours of:

11:00am and 9:00pm Monday through Thursday,
11:00am to 7:00pm on Fridays,
10:00am to 7:00pm on Saturdays

$33.00 per 30 minute private music lesson held once a week. Recommended for children, teens, and adults.

$66.00 per 60 minute private music lesson held once a week. Recommended for the serious student.
