Student of the Month

Tyree is a 5 year old drum student who started with us when he was just 2 years old. He started playing full songs on the drum kit at age 2! Now at age 5 he is playing more complex pieces than ever. Tyree has never missed a recital and is always a hit at every show.

RAMA: How long have you been taking lessons?
Tyree: 3 years

RAMA: What kind of music do you listen to?
Tyree: I like gospel music. I also like Stevie Wonder.

RAMA: What are your other hobbies?
Tyree: I like to draw. I draw lots of instruments, and also owls. But I also like to play drums all day.

RAMA: What is the coolest thing you've learned in your lessons so far?
Tyree: Drum Rolls!

RAMA: What do you like about your teacher?
Tyree: I like that he teaches me everything. He teaches me things like drum rolls and beats and also he teaches me songs. I am also learning to read the music.

RAMA: What do you like about the recitals ?
Tyree: It is awesome because I love to play the drums for everyone!

RAMA: Anything else to add?
Tyree's Grandma Denise: It has been a blessing for him to be able to attend this music school. Thank you for taking a chance on him when I called and said I had a 2 year old who can drum, because he definitely has a gift. We are so grateful.

A: Because he's shellfish
